Finding it hard to secure a seat on a plane or a room in a hotel in recent times?

The corporate demand for travel has never been stronger than it is in 2007. Clearly demand has outstripped supply in most markets. Hong Kong, Singapore, London, New York and particularly India are proving to be the most challenging destinations for supply.

It’s not all bad news with a flurry of new airline seats coming onto the Australian market in early 2008. Etihad begin servicing the Middle East and Europe daily. Several leading airlines will have taken hold of the new larger A380 planes. Similarly with hotel availability many hundreds of new hotels come on line throughout 08/09. In the mean time to maximise your opportunities now, it’s important to where possible book well ahead, be prepared to consider alternate suppliers to your 'usual' and even consider combining trips. Of course who's to say that current demand will continue well into the future, it may be a very different market next year!
