Corporate Travel Specialists Needed

The travel specialist team at Travelogic is professional and enthusiastic.  They know and understand the travel industry and they know how to offer the best possible service to their clients.  They work efficiently and together as a team to ensure a positive experience for clients and specialists alike.  We are looking for experienced people who are want to be part of Australia’s fastest growing independent Travel Managers.   For the right person we will offer an attractive salary and incentive package along with the opportunity to enjoy the usual travel industry benefits. Our GDS is Sabre and the back office is Tramada, but we would be happy to retrain the right candidate.

 

What is the role of a Travelogic Travel Specialist?

Our travel specialists control all facets of our client’s travel needs.  The aim of each consultant is to ensure that the client is totally satisfied. We source the lowest logical fares and maintain accurate and clear communication at all time.  In short we guarantee the best possible travel arrangements are being made for all our clients.

 

To be the best we use the following guidelines:

  • Make all reservations in accordance with our client’s Travel Policy
  • Ensure all bookings requests are processed within the time frame that has been agreed with the client. If for some unforseen reason deadlines cannot be met, we inform our clients of the delay
  • Reserve air travel, accommodation, car hire, and other requirements for each client, ensuring that these services are confirmed with the client.
  • Utilise the best airfare available and best suited to the client. We always offer the client at least one Lower Logical Alternative.
  • Confirm all arrangements made on behalf of the client in writing and ensure each confirmation contains a copy of the itinerary along with costings and conditions. 
  • Our International consultants advise clients of the necessary passport validity, visa and health requirements for each country that they will visit and ensure these requirements are met by processing any necessary documentation on the client’s behalf
  • At all times offer the client professional and up to date advice and suggestions to ensure that client’s expectations are met.
  • Continually monitor GDS Queues looking for schedule changes and waitlist clearances.
  • Ensure all travel documentation, including air tickets, hotel vouchers and itineraries are correct and complete in every detail and are delivered to the client on time and via the appropriate delivery method.
  • Accurately complete each booking with all appropriate data for reporting purposes.

 

We encourage our consultants to fulfil Industry responsibilities:

  • Ensure that an excellent working relationship is developed with industry representatives and associated personnel and utilise these relationships, where necessary, to obtain the maximum service advantage for your client.
  • Ensure that all dealings with industry representatives are fair and honest at all times and that any working relationship is not used to the detriment of our company.
  • Attend industry functions and product seminars in order to update and advance current personal knowledge. It is essential that our company be represented in a totally professional manner at such industry functions.

 

It’s a team with Company responsibilities:

  • Participate as a company team member and contribute to the overall smooth operation and well being of the company.
  • Attend office/company weekly meetings, offering feedback and suggestions to improve our services.
  • Operate within company guidelines, systems and procedures.
  • Maintain a high standard of dress (when meeting with clients) and general tidiness and cleanliness of your work area.
  • Constantly strive to improve product and technological knowledge and use available computer systems and other aids to maximise client service and satisfaction.
  • Ensure appropriate file notes are kept in the travel management system to assist the After Hours consultants and your colleagues.
  • Facilitate the refund process to ensure account assistant can lodge refunds within 72 hours.
  • Ensure that when there is a doubt on any matter or a need for more detailed information, the matter is referred to your supervisor or Manager for assistance.
  • Provide suggestions and contribute to the well being of the company.

Help Desk Co-Ordinator

Travelogic and Macquarie Bank Travel Centre seek a motivated individual to co-ordinate system support services to staff and clients.

The role will include management of information services, handling of hardware and software helpdesk enquiries, new system testing and implementations.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate an ability to analyse issues, present and implement solutions.

Microsoft Desktop Application, CRS, Online Booking Engine and Travel industry experience preferred.
